3 hour special trip to Inchkeith to see the seal pups
This 3 hour special winter cruise heads down to Inchkeith Island to see the adorable newly born Grey Seal pups. Around 500 seal pups are born on Inchkeith every year and is a spectacular sight. There will be no landing onto Inchkeith Island, but you will be able to see the seal pups from a respectful distance from on board the' Maid of the Forth'.
These trips will run at weekends in late October and throughout November. This trip currently has availability for adults and children aged 5-15, there isn't an option to add children aged 4 and under due to the nature and length of the trip. If you need to add younger children, please contact us directly on 0131 331 5000.
You will get fantastic views of the Fife and Edinburgh shorelines along the way, and the boat will pass close by Inchmickery on the return journey. This island is known as the 'battleship island' due to the shape of the buildings that were built on it to make it look like a ship lying at anchor. Depending on the tide, you may also get great views of the Switha shipwreck lying perched on a rock to the south of Inchkeith.
